Full Arch Implants
Options available for dental implants.
When a full arch of teeth are missing it is possible to replace them with a full arch bridge. This typically involves having 4-6 implants placed. A temporary bridge can usually be placed on the implants on the same day, restoring your smile immediately. And then 3-6 months later this can be changed for the permanent bridge following full healing. It is an ideal solution for somebody who wants to avoid wearing a denture following the loss of all their teeth or for somebody who has tried to adapt to a denture but could not tolerate the limitations that dentures have.
Implant supported dentures
As stated above conventional dentures have various limitations such as movement and discomfort, needing to be fixed in with adhesive and limited chewing power. Another potential solution is to have implants which support a denture. Each patient needs to be assessed individually but dental implants can really help to improve on some of the limitations that conventional dentures have.
